The Page of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning

Page of PentaclesThe Page of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning can point to a situation where you are starting a new project or developing new skills in order to go in a new direction. The Page often shows up when you have a new dream and wondering how to turn it into a reality. You have a lot of enthusiasm and drive for the new venture or project and are currently motivated by the freshness of ideas coming to you about it. This card is not so much an indicator that you will be successful in the venture, rather it suggests it is favourable for you if you put some careful planning into action.

When this card shows up.

When you draw this card in relation to some insight about a new direction, it suggests that you need to sit down and nut out some of the finer details as to how you are going to achieve what it is you are going after. It could be a new business venture, the beginning of an educational journey or the planning of investments and financial goals.

The suit of Pentacles often refers to personal wealth and prosperity.

Suit of PentaclesIt is not uncommon for The Page of Pentacles to appear in your Tarot readings when you are enquiring about new job opportunities or study in relation to new job directions. He can also appear when you are wondering how you will grow your personal wealth.

The card is also an indicator that you need to keep your feet firmly on the ground when making and executing your plans and goals in relation to your desired destination to give yourself the best chance of success. The Pentacles Suit is all about being grounded in reality and practicalities, and as the Page of Pentacles depicts an enthusiastic youth, his energy is also at risk for being side tracked easily by distractions. He needs a steady mind and commitment to growth.

The card illustrates a young man gazing at a golden coin. He is in a lush field with fruit trees and budding red flowers on the ground which symbolize fresh new directions and planning. There is a crop behind him which is ripe for new seeds which symbolizes the harvesting of new ventures and ideas. He is in a moment of peace and tranquility as he looks into his coin and can feel success ahead of him. He is ready to make his dreams a reality.

ChecklistPractical steps you can take.

  1. Take a day to yourself to pause and put pen to paper as to how you will manifest your goals and desires.
  2. Ask yourself what you need to do to get where you need to go and list it all out.
  3. Get clear about the daily amount of time you have and are willing to dedicate to achieve what it is you want.
  4. Set daily, weekly, monthly and 3 monthly goals and aim to reach specific targets by certain dates.
  5. Invest in a good goal tracker app on your smart phone an input all the goals you have decided upon within it, and use it daily to keep yourself focussed and on target.
  6. At the end of a 3 month period, take another moment to pause and evaluate how far you have come and adjust what needs to be adjusted and reset your next set of goals for the next three months.

When this card is reversed in your reading.

The Page of Pentacles reversed can simply mean you are lacking specific tangible goals in order to get where it is you want to go. You are approaching your dreams in a way that is not systematic, down to earth or does not include a well thought out personal system in order to get you where you want to go. It is time to take stock of your actions and get grounded within yourself in order to make more progress on the manifestation of your goals and dreams. For an exercise to help you with grounding your mind and body, see my post here.

Clock5 minutes a day is better than 3 hours once a week.

The Page of Pentacles Tarot Card meaning reminds us to be methodical and consistent in our approach to our goals.  The things we want to achieve in our life that we have yet to accomplish first have to be anchored in our mind and body before we see them materialise in the real world. They need to be anchored in our mind in the way we think about them everyday; and they need to be anchored in our body in the way we are taking actions each day to achieve them. Let the alchemy begin!

  1. I really enjoyed your website. I have always been drawn toward Tarot cards as well. I think I have 4 or 5 decks, but my favorite are the Osho Zen Cards.
I’m curious…do you always stick with one deck or do you have several as well? Thanks for creating this site. I’ll be back. 🙂

    1. Hi Jackie. Thanks for your comment. I have the Osho Zen deck too! I have a total of three decks, but I am currently mostly using the Rider Waite deck because I feel like if I can learn to read this deck with ease, then I can read any deck, given that it is the most classic deck around. Thanks for visiting!

    1. Thanks Cristina! Didn’t quite understand your question in the way it was phrased, but I am assuming you asked if different kind of tarot card packs mean the same thing? Anyway, yes they do-the Tarot consists of 78 cards and regardless of what pack you choose, they all have similar meanings. Thanks for visiting! 🙂

  3. Great article on the page of pentacles tarot card reading. I love how you explain what the picture and symbols mean. I had no idea what it meant and you really painted a clear picture through you discription. I also love the way you gave practical steps toward achieving your goal and dreams. Great article indeed!

    1. Thanks Natasha. I always feel that Tarot is most beneficial when you can apply the meanings in a practical way-other wise it is all just theory!

  4. Interesting information about different tarot cards and their meanings. I enjoy using tarot cards to guide myself intuitively when I have important decisions to make – it usually gives me a different point of view on some of the questions that are whirring in my mind. I particularly like the practical steps you have listed out. I think a good goal tracker would work well to keep track of how things have unfolded. Thank you for this grreat post!

    1. Hi Lilly! Thanks for stopping by. That is one of the things I like the most about Tarot-the different point of view you can get when you are faced with decisions you need to make but feel a little stuck. It is not so much that the Tarot will predict what will happen for you, but what kinds of thoughts and emotions arise from within you when you are looking at the cards that you have laid out in front of you.

  5. I have just shared your site with my niece who has been researching the gift of Tarot reading and actually hand painted her very own cards (she is also an artist). She has done a couple of readings on me and it’s incredibly interesting to see what information the cards have to offer and how you are able to reflect on the information. I can’t wait to read more!

    1. Hi Kristin! Thanks for visiting and thanks so much for sharing my site with your niece. Would love to see her work. Does she have a website?
